SHAPE/FORM
Shapes are all around us and are easy to identify within our culture. Shapes often communicate a meaning like a direction on a stop sign. Shape may evoke some deep emotion value like stars and strips that can be seen on the flag to a person. Shape is also used to identify something. For example, the shape of the human body or the shape of a flower. Because of the unique shapes of these two items they are easily identifiable. Shape helps create highlights and silhouettes on an object to communicate an emotion that is identified through its shape. Take a moment to review the photos below to see if you can find the shapes within each picture.
