Expected Outcomes
At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to practice applying the design principals and elements as well as composition of photography. Design a student-centered learning activity that incorporates the use of digital photography and comic strips to support students to progress toward mastery of a learning objective for a specific academic content area. Identify appropriate content standards that aligns with learning target of the specified academic content area, as well as construct a detailed rubric that will demonstrate mastery of task. Provide constructive feedback that aligns itself to the rubric criteria for the comic strip learning activity. Demonstrate a high level of understanding of various technologies (i.e. Google Slides or PowerPoint) and other web based software within the use of this activity, where front loading and/or blended learning instructional method can be applied. Lastly, value the concept of flipping the classroom where students can work collaboratively and be fully engaged in their own learning process.
